D-Band increases 2015/2016

The NHLS Labour (NEHAWU, HOSPERSA, ISA and PSA) has taken the NHLS to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) with regard to the interpretation of the 2015/2016 wage agreement.

The agreement stated that all staff will receive a 7% salary increase with effect from 1 April 2015.  The 7% increase was only given to staff on the A to C salary bands, while the D-band only received 5.5%.

Labour brought this matter to the attention of the employer in August 2015.  The employer promised to respond. Several communications were submitted to the employer and no response was received. Labour then decided to declare a dispute.

The matter is being heard on 13 May 2016.  Members will be kept informed of developments.
